Nachmittags scheint die Sonne auf die Vorderseite des Hotels Bauer, und ich genieße sie, wenn ich neben dem Eingang auf Kunden warte. Würde sie auf die gegenüberliegende Hauswand scheinen, würde ich mich trotzdem nicht hinüberstellen. Ich gehöre hierher zum Hotel, dessen Territorium bis zur Kante des Gehsteigs reicht. Diesseits der Kante leben wir Huren, jenseits die Freier und ihre Familien und Freunde. Diesseits ist alles klar, jenseits beginnt die Fremde. Ich arbeite seit 35 Jahren im Hotel Bauer, sechs Jahre davon war ich allerdings stumm.
