Publisher's Summary

Heaven sucks. It most definitely, undeniably did not live up to the expectation of a paradise in the clouds, not with the talking spiders, evil priests of Light, and war, lots of war. Those of Light simply wouldn’t leave the fledgling village—Dedu Tedu Novus—alone. Peace was not on the menu. The seven declarations of war made that point crystal clear.

Worse, in a series of unfortunate and escalating events, our stray King of Shadows finds himself where he really ought not to be. But maybe . . . this is a good thing? Probably not. Dhane, Dhane, Dhane . . . what ever will you do next? Uncover forgotten truths? Form alliances with monsters? Take a stroll in the most dangerous places a Shadow can be? Probably.

it's terrible

I had too skip half of the chapters it was that bad. the MC instead of getting stronger like every other MC in a litrpg with the whole world against him. he spends the whole book dead or trapped in dumb misfortune. I couldn't even finish it, it felt like pulling teeth. author maybe give up writing it's not for you, your character and dialogue are ok but the story sucks. I mean if my afterlife was such a buggy meh of a game I'd be pissed. it feels like the MC is in a alpha testing world with only three locations built and the main story line and side quest haven't been added yet. it's just the same scene on repeat through the 2 books so far. unrealistic misfortune on the MC, MC put in awkward position, MC stumbles through said position, only to be put in the same position 10 minutes later. the only reason I got this book was because of the somewhat cool end to the garbage that was the first book. the author doesn't even lean into the only cool thing that this book has going for it which is the MC class. cool unique class with spider powers sign me up, oh wait it's barely a thing apart from the child like spider pet that's more hinders then helps. There are so many great litrpgs out there this isn't one.
