The last two stories to my relief weren’t read by Joan Hickson. The last story was a sparkling example of why AC is still at the top and always will be. To those who think AC merely wrote on a formula are quite wrong in my opinion. If it was a formula why hasn’t anyone come near copying here spontaneous light brush strokes that create all the impression of the character that we need. She can give you an entire character’s nature in three words so cleverly and entertaining you haven’t even noticed what she’s done. Bravo AC.

One of the few Agatha Christie books I haven't read before. I loved Joan Hickson as Miss Marple in the older DVDs and she made an excellent narrator.

Bulk of the book was excellent. Was confused by the additional story at the end that did not include Miss Marple and was read by another narrator

While everything else was great the chapters were completely out of sync with where they were "marked" to be. The actual chapter would end five or more minutes before what the controls would recognise as the end of the chapter. It seemed like it was done completely arbitrarily. Also the extra story bit at the end was very confusing and annoying
