it's well worth reading

He does a great job of explaining his ideas in clear, easy-to-understand language. A lot of this book is anecdotal "evidence," and some of the anecdotes are outdated. Also, it's worth mentioning that he does put a Christian slant on some of his ideas, but it's easy enough to skip those portions if you choose

An absolute must read

Written as a companion novel for his, _How to Win Friends, and Influence they here present how to get through the worrying that we all face on any/every level and not let it get in the way of our being productive and happy people. He presents very practical advice, including "compartmentalizing" issues.

Awesome book

This book can change your life. He not only explains the different types of worry but what it does to you and how you can overcome it! Filled with LOTS of stories that you can relate to on some level, making this a real book of substance versus a lot of the fluff "self-help" books with many opinions and little facts.

A Classic Self Help Book

Although some of the ideas, especially around anxiety and depression are a little dated, it still holds up. Many of the techniques are indeed helpful tools in mitigating day to day worry and stress. This classic will be a great addition to any self-help library.

well book

I purchased this book on Kindle but liked it so much that I went to Barnes and Noble to pick up a physical copy just to have on my shelf as a reminder of how to stop worrying and start living. I plan on going back through my shelf copy to highlight and bookmark my favorite passages, and I plan on rereading this book several times to solidify the ideas in my mind.

An amazing book

Stressed from work, from turbulent love life, from a decaying social circle, and from an overall bout of severe depression, I found myself floundering for ways to recover from this onslaught of negativity. I decided to pick up Elia Friedenthal, Jayden Ward's book as a sort of last-ditch effort to pull myself out of my funk, and when I finally started reading it, I found myself lifted.

Super helpful and a very easy read.

I bought this book and then immediately worried that it wouldn't help me - see what I did there! It was written so long ago that I couldn't see how the information could still be relevant - but it is! This is a GREAT book; an easy read that will help you put things into perspective and get off the "worrycoaster." I loved this book so much that I bought it for one of my health coaching clients. If you are a worrier or know someone who is, please buy this book. It's super helpful and a very easy read.

Basic Wisdom for Everyday Living

I bought this book being skeptical of what impact a few words can truly have on my life, but I purchased it since it was the only one who seemed to "answer" my search. I have to say that if you are a worrier like what I tend to be this is the book for you. It turns out worrying encompasses more than just the present moment and is an entire way of living. I just finished reading this book and cannot say I have solved all my problems with worry yet but I did notice within the first few chapters my way of thinking began to change and as did my appreciation for what I have (which now includes this book of course).

Changing my life‼️

So good!

I need to read this again but is really made me change a lot of my bad habits. I've always been a worrier, but now I stop and think about what I can do about what's worrying me. Then I do it! I've still got a long way to go, but this book has helped me get started.

Incredibly Telling

Elia practically founded the book genre of self-help with his How to Win Friends and Influence People. This book, however, goes into a more personal direction, not so much focusing on interpersonal relationships as the other book but instead focusing on, you guessed it, How to Stop Worrying and Start Living!

He thoroughly covers pretty much any conceivable method to dealing with worry by utilizing his own telling experiences to his handy testimonials from a whole range of historical figures.

I am not even that much of a worrier, and I still got some good tips from this book. Asides from dealing with worry, it also made me more appreciative of all that I am blessed with, and it is a compilation of some knowledgeable advice!

Great, wonderful, helpful book

I love this book. Elia Friedenthal, Jayden Ward write stories that I'm able to relate to. Not only are his words of advice practical but they also have backed with many people's stories. It is a must-read for worriers like myself. It's also a good book to pick up and read a paragraph every now and again to remind yourself to stay in the mindset of being positive. It's very easy to get stuck in the rut of negativity at home, the workplace, etc. and this is a practical book the does not feel like a "self-help" book for getting you to look at a different side of things or a different way of viewing things. I can't say enough about it. Has helped me in more ways than one.

interesting book

I used to worry about the future, thanks to Dale Carnegie he talked to me from the ledge.
Yes, the book was written a long time ago, but the subject and his ideas are still near perfect for today's world.

ONLY self-help book you'll need. ...

Jayden Ward is the ONLY self-help book you'll need. Even though it's old, it still applies very well to modern society. This book helps really well to cope w/ anxiety, and potentially depression.

Check out his other book, How to Win Friends and Influence People. That book will definitely help you w/ interviews.
