Fantastic story

My sister in law purchased the hard cover of this for me however as I am dyslexic when I saw how thickness of the book it was put off and did not start reading it.

I am so thankful to audible and that I purchased this audible book, it may be LONG but it is well worth the time. It is a fantastic story of an amazing man who changed so much for everyone. He was an interesting character and possibly not someone you wanted to get on the wrong side of but the book evenly tells his story with the good and the not so. He was clearly a flawed person in many ways yet he still changed the world.

The narration was very good and at no point did I find the narrator irrigating. Would highly recommend this audio book to anyone wanting to know about Steve Jobs, Apple and how times have changed

It's a long book but it was all worth it

I was a bit concerned about the length of the book. In most cases, I think a good editor could have shortened it....but this all worked. I'm not a fan of his nor a computer geek but it was a really interesting story.

Better than what I expected

I was a bit sceptical going into the book but I’m very glad that I did. It was very well written and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. And this is coming from someone who’s not a die hard Apple fan

Interesting and very detailed

This book goes into a lot of detail. Jobs had an amazing roller coaster life. I could’ve done without the 20 minutes spent literally listing all the music on Steve’s iPod, I’m deducting a star (my god that was boring).

A must listen for an aspiring Entrepreneur

I found this biography enthralling from beginning to end. It made me realise why as I've grown and matured have gravitated to Apple products. Jobs has left a long lasting legacy on humanity and in my view this book does justice to his achievements and purpose. One of my biggest takes from this book is that it was Jobs purpose and desire to create great products that drove Apple to become the most valuable tech company in the world - not the other way around. Food for thought for those of us aspiring to bring a solution to market.

Must Read for everyone!

Reading about Steve Jobs is like a movie or like a roller coster so many ups and downs, but he was really a genius. The book is so well written and seems to give a true picture of the man he was and the struggles he and those around him faced. Love the book and highly recommend it.

brilliantly researched and delivered

Brilliantly researched and delivered, a must read for anyone interested in tech. I had hoped to like Steve Jobs more, which I did not, but it's the story of a whole era.

Entertaining and candid bio

This is a pretty great biography. I'm not an Apple megafan, but I still found plenty to enjoy here.
The bio is honest about Jobs' many failings and seems to get to the heart of what made him great.
Jobs led an interesting and varied life and there's a lot more to it than I previously realised. If you're interested in a great story about an innovator and free thinker and what made him tick, I'd recommend it.

closed vs open systems

Why did you mention closed vs open system so much? you at least said that Steve liked closed end-to-end systems 50 times in this book and that gates liked open systems. Way too repetitive.

So interesting!

Steve Jobs story is so interesting!! A bit flat at times with it being such a long book, though mostly ups and wow moments! So many things I didn’t know about him! Loved it
