Publisher's Summary

I hired her to be my girlfriend.

To fix my reputation.

To save my career.

It's not that I don't want a girlfriend. I do. I want it all. Wife, kids, side-by-side burial plots.

The problem is - I can't have any of it.

So I've made myself untouchable. The quintessential bachelor of baseball.

Because it's not worth the risk. Not even for someone I love.

Especially not for someone I love.

We made the arrangements.

We agreed to a contract.

It's iron clad.

No sex. No love. No future.

What could possibly go wrong?

Stealing Sawyer can be listened to as a standalone romance. It is Book Three in The Perfect Game Series.

well that went where I didnt

glad it's the last in the zeries6as I'm sad they are not where they are at the beginning . I absolutely love hearing about the others. I normally enjoy more grit like author a zavarelli, but Samantha does the enjoyable ending with surprise plots. will keep reading

Another Great Story!

I thought after listening to the first story and loving it so much that the other two would be a let down. How wrong I was. I equally enjoyed all 3 storylines and couldn't be happier to hear Sawyer finally got his happily ever after too. The narrators were great as usual and I doubt this story would have been as good without them.

Great story, narration could use some improvements

Zachary Webber is as excellent as always. Erin Mollen is ok. She'd be great if she would stop dragging out the last sound of the late word of each phrase.

Perfect Story

this may be book three but, its a #1 for sure. the entire series is SO worth the credit or the $$. I love the way all the Characters are in all three books, Zachary Webber is One of the Top Male Voices and along with Erin Mallon, they bring the story to Life... A few twists and turns keep you wondering but, in the End its Happily Ever After..... I will For Sure read this series again and Again.

Love this book, female narrator not so much.

I had read this book previous to listening to the audible recording. I love Sawyer and his story. I have listened to a few other books with this female narrator and the way she speaks drives me nuts. she adds a breathy extra syllable to every word, so every word has "uh" at the end. When she says the female character's name is comes out as "Aspen-uh." It is distracting which is a shame because it's such a great story. Maybe it won't bug you though!

Oh Sawyer...

Just loved this series. All the H’s were great this book is no different. I do think the conquests were a little overboard but still an excellent book. It captures you from the beginning. I Listened during work and made time go fast. The narrators were excellent also.

Excellent book and series!

Like all Samantha Crristy books the characters always come from and stay entangled in dark places, so its lucky that love shines through for these guys. She deals with some hard issues in a great way. Love her writing!!

Sweet Sawyer

There’s more to this story than meets the eye. After seeing Sawyer in the first two books I assumed he was a bad boy with a troubled past but he’s so much more than that. And Aspen is just the woman to realize the love and potential he has in him.

Sawyer & Aspen

*****REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS***** Audible review. Dual POV. Book 3 of 3 in The Perfect Game trilogy. Narrators: I enjoyed Zachary Webber but Erin Mallon's growly voice is very grating. Trigger warnings: alcoholism; spousal & child abuse; memories of parents who died of exposure; a head injury causing permanent brain damage; medication causing a memory lapse. Sawyer Mills (25; aka Tom Sawyer, Speed Limit) was drafted into playing professional baseball out of high school, has a butterfly tattoo, has lead the league in stolen bases for 2 years, is the NY Nighthawks shortstop & team captain, and his jersey is #55. Sawyer's mom died 15 years ago after his drunk & abusive dad pushed her down the stairs. His father eventually drank himself to death. Aspen Andrews (22 years old, met Sawyer a month before her 23rd; aka Penny, Pen) is a Juilliard student, has a twin brother (Denver), plays piano, and was accepted into the masters program at Juilliard. Both of Aspen's parents are deceased. Her mom was a district circuit court judge and her dad was a CFO of a construction company. They died in a car accident 4 years ago, were found days after their accident when she was 19 & a freshman at Juilliard. Aspen & Sawyer met after they both had a bad day: Sawyer almost got traded because of his promiscuous reputation, Aspen got bad news about Denver's trial. They go into a bar for a drink, Sawyer escorts Aspen home, they're intimate, the next morning Sawyer sneaks out after reading Aspen's letter only to return with an offer. Sawyer offers Aspen $500k to pretend to be his girlfriend to clean up his reputation & avoid being traded. Aspen sends him away. Sawyer meets with his lawyer to get guidance for a contract offer for Aspen then returns to see her and convince her to take the deal. Aspen agrees to help Sawyer, signs the contract, they get close, go on dates and shop together, eventually Aspen moves in w/Sawyer, things heat up, Aspen realizes they were intimate before but she didn't remember because of her medication, Sawyer comes clean, Aspen stays with him. Aspen graduates with her undergrad from Juilliard. Sawyer drops Murphy's engagement ring on accident in front of everyone & ends up proposing to Aspen so Sebastian proposes to Brooke. Sawyer gets upset at Aspen & leaves to visit Danny, Aspen follows him, Sawyer is forced to tell Aspen about his abusive dad, how his mom died, why Danny is the way he is, & that he fears becoming his abusive dad so he avoids relationships. They go back home, Aspen tries to convince Sawyer he's wrong, while Sawyer is at a game Aspen gets a call from Denver, she packs up, leaves a note, and goes to Missouri. Sawyer follows her after finding out Denver was arrested for DUI, signing the trade paperwork to join the Missouri team, he proposes to her, and offers her a new contract. Epilogue (more than a year later on Christmas Eve) Sebastian previously went to Hawaii and loved it so all 3 of The Perfect Game trilogy couples decide to go; Caden & Murphy have their 2 year old twins; Brady's son is 7; Rylee is 5 months pregnant; Aspen & Sawyer are married, she has a butterfly tattoo on the back of her neck; Denver has a new girlfriend; Aspen & Sawyer have been married just short of a year; Aspen offered a job by the university; Aspen is 9 weeks pregnant for twins. JP Side characters: Ricky Henderson (former record holder for stolen bases); Benham, Connor, Spencer Truman, Dylan Buckley (Nighthawks players); Brady Taylor (pitcher, wife Rylee, son); Rick (manager, dislikes Sawyer); Caden Kessler (homerun hitter, wife Murphy); Jason (team owner); Denver (aka Den; Aspen's older by 3 minutes twin brother; former police officer, $400k restitution penalty for an investment scheme in Missouri after he was found guilty; lost their inheritance; arrested for DUI); Sebastian Briggs (aka Bass; paramedic going to firefighter school, guitarist; Aspen's best friend & roommate; he & Aspen dated 4 years ago after they met @ Juilliard; told Aspen he's in love with her but she didn't feel that way about him; propsed to Brooke; left @ the alter by Brooke); Daniel (aka Danny; on the high school baseball team w/Sawyer; while drunk during a disagreement hit his head causing permanent brain damage); Lucy (Danny's mom); Sarah Wilson (Sawyer's lawyer & former lover); Brooke (cellist, Sebastian's date turned former roommate & former fianceé); Mason & Piper (married 3 years, daughter Hailey); Helen Jensen (pianist); Jordan (Brooke's roommate & best friend).

Great ending to the Perfect Game Series.

Great ending to the Perfect Game Series. Absolutely love Samantha’s books so listening to them in audio is amazing. Sawyer is the bad boy of baseball, he needs someone to help his reputation and save his career. Aspen’s so down on her luck, then she’s meets a tall dark stranger and everything changes.

Loved sawyer

I keep saying this is the best book- and then I read another and change my mind... sawyer is a certified man-ho... sleeps with girls - but only once... until he meets aspen; he needs her to help him save his career, but they’re slowly falling for eachother - but there are barriers why he won’t let aspen in... Beautiful ending, great story I didn’t want it to end

love this series

This series was so much fun to read. I totally binged after reading the first one. I was so excited to listen to Stealing Sawyer, especially because (come on!!) it's Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber. They brought me a different dimension to this story, because I did it read it first. This can be read as a standalone but I loved seeing the progression of the other character's relationships. Definitely will be a reread for me.
