Publisher's Summary

Stay with me.

Three simple words.

One impossible request.

I’ve loved Allie McCallister for as long as I can remember. Her happiness and well-being mean more to me than anything else, which is why when the opportunity of a lifetime presented itself, I had to take it. Three months was such a short amount of time to be apart to provide the financial stability we needed to start our lives.

It wasn’t supposed to catapult my band to stardom, and it sure as hell wasn’t supposed to set off the chain of events that pushed my relationship with Allie to the brink. Our hearts were shattered, our love tested, and when everything fell apart she begged me to leave.

Eight years ago, tragedy broke us. Now we’re back in the same little town where we once dreamed of building our future.

She’s a divorced, single mom.

I’m a damaged country music star.

There are a hundred reasons for us to stay apart.

But all it takes is one look, one touch, one kiss to know our story isn’t over. Now I have to convince her to let me stay.

Excruciating

Everything about this book was painful to listen to. The awkward laughing from the female narrator, the complete lack of chemistry.... you know it is bad when you find the sex scenes so uncomfortable that you fast forward...

💔 The mother of all second chances 💔

I haven't read/listened to this author before but I've been obsessed with the cover since the first time my eyes landed on it. Then, within 20 minutes I was obsessed and Could NOT stop. Everything was so perfect for Allie and Jackson, until everything was wrong and their life took on a locomotive of pain and hurt. This story is full of a sweet romance, a love that was meant and will never die no matter the years in between. There's sweet small town charm mixed with big city dreams. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are always so magical together. I listen to them and I felt like I was in the fields with Allie and Jackson. These narrators are always so capable of bringing characters to life and giving them the feelings portrayed. #AudiobookObsession

Tear Drops Cascade With This Second Chance Romance

Stay with Me is a standalone second chance romance audio told in dual pov. I loved the narative and the going back to the past and back to the present in a way that wasn't confusing and brought understanding to the present. The writing style is captivating. Character's are compelling and resilient. Mason (Allie's son stole the show). A bit of angst, heart-rending history, in the skys chemistry, and wit. A beautiful teary eyed love story that ends with a perfect epilogue. Narators Kai Kennicott, Wen Ross duet narration was perfect. Their inflection fit the characters and narrative perfectly. Another flawless performance by these narrators that brought the characters and narrative to a realistic light. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession 🎧

Pleasantly surprised...

This turned out to be a really great book! I love the two narrators Kai and Wen, and have already added quite a few more books that they narrate to the wish list. I also love the way this book is narrated. Not only are there his chapters and her chapters, but each chapter has both of them narrating in present time so it is really like watching a movie without the picture because these two are telling the story together. I wish more audio books were like this! The story itself was, like I said, a surprise. It had me on that emotional roller coaster at times, and it was truly enjoyable. I think this one is worth the credit/money.

Just Ok

The overall premise of this book and the excellent reviews drew me in. This story got off to a decent start but slowly went downhill from there. First, I had a really hard time understanding how this couple could throw away such a so-called “epic love” but I tried to reason it through - reminded myself how young they were, the trials they faced, etc - and I got over that part. Then I struggled with how seamlessly they just picked right up where they left off as soon as he strolled back into town after eight freaking years. The h put up a fight for about five seconds. I also didn’t feel a strong chemistry with the main characters for some reason - maybe because the story was centered around the little boy as much as the actual romance (not that I don’t understand the importance of including the children) Then there was the issue of the ex-husband and all his mess - the story became more about that and a d*@# swinging contest between the males. I got bored and lost interested. On a positive note, the narration was well-done and the epilogue was very sweet.

Loved it!

This was my first book by this author. It was also my first time listening to these narrators. I loved both. I’ve already downloaded another one. This was a great second chance romance.
