About this listen

The undisputed master of the techno-thriller has written his most entertaining book yet. Once again Michael Crichton gives us his trademark combination of pause-resisting suspense, cutting-edge technology, and extraordinary research.

State of Fear is a superb blend of edge-of-your-seat suspense and thought provoking commentary on how information is manipulated in the modern world. From the streets of Paris, to the glaciers of Antarctica to the exotic and dangerous Solomon Islands, State of Fear takes the reader on a rollercoaster thrill ride, all the while keeping the brain in high gear.

There are a lot of facts and figures which are hard to keep track of as an audio book. This book will upset a lot of people as it asks you to question the facts on global warming.

A good story that is better in paperback.

You can hear gurgling and growling coming from the narrators throat and stomach throughout the entire book... pretty gross.

This book started well, and although somewhat predictable still entertained from first page to the last.

Great story

Suspended my “belief” in climate change long enough to give it a go. My favourite part is listening to the reader’s digestive juices. Not joking.

Stupid. Ignorant.

Enraging as far as the science goes.......formulated on goodies & baddies, couldn't finish......I suppose the drama of eco-terrorism was better novel bait than accurate reporting of facts.......it is, after all, only fantasy
