Great read, tire at my hear strings, so raw and alive like no other. The famine was grotesque

Even though I was initially distracted in my listening - I was quickly drawn into this fascinating tale filled with historical characters.

The narration was wonderful and the structure of the book impressive. I had only read one of O'Connor's books previously - his first, but this appears to be his masterpiece.
