Publisher's Summary

He's both feared and admired, respected and despised. Boba Fett is the galaxy's most successful bounty hunter. Now he finds himself the hunted in the oldest game of all: survival of the fittest.

The once powerful Bounty Hunter's Guild has been shattered into warring factions. Now the posting of an enormous bounty on a renegade Imperial stormtrooper is about to start a frenzy of murderous greed.

Hoping to fuel rumors of his death, Boba Fett abandons his ship, Slave I, and sets out to claim the prize. Yet his every move leads him closer to a trap set by the cunning Prince Xizor. Fett will die before becoming Xizor's pawn in the Emperor's war against the Rebels. And he may have to. For in order to gain his freedom, he must outwit a sentient weapon that feeds on human spirits. Then he must escape a galaxy of deadly enemies who want to make the rumors of his death a reality.

Critic Reviews

"What a great audio performer is Anthony Heald! He wends his way through a narrative replete with tongue-twisting alien names and never once slips up. He gives full-flavored performance of humans and aliens, spider-like and otherwise, and is instantly believable. And behind him run the thundering Star Wars music and the intricately detailed Star Wars sound effects - the latter so finely tuned that even apparently distant and faint sounds are intensely real." Sound Effects Detracted from the Experience

I liked the performance of the various voices and personalities of the characters. I also liked the story, however the sound effects were often way too loud and actually made it difficult at times to here the reader. Also found that some sound effects were inappropriate to the action or poorly timed. I appreciated the effort but it was not well executed.

How to make Bounty Hunters boring...

Tons of droning dialogue between disposable side characters, barely any focus on the bounty hunters.

What was this even about?

No real story arc here, just random events. No idea what it's building to and can't say I care to find out.

alright.

An apathetic and driven antagonist out performs his enemies and threatens his 'team'. A good book to listen to whole doing work.

Great middle chapter, better audio then first book

This book is great. The audio is a lot better then the first book in this series, and this novel is action packed.
