Publisher's Summary

In this sparkling romantic comedy, a young journalist tampers with her magazine's horoscopes to win her friend's heart - and sets in motion an unpredictable and often hilarious ripple effect....

Sometimes destiny needs a nudge in the right direction....

When Justine Carmichael (Sagittarius, aspiring journalist and sceptic) bumps into her old friend Nick Jordan (Aquarius, struggling actor and true believer), it could be by chance. Or perhaps it's written in the stars.

Justine works at the Alexandria Park Star - and Nick, she now learns, relies on the magazine's astrology column to guide him in life.

Looking for a way to get Nick's attention, Justine has the idea of making a few small alterations to 'Aquarius' before it goes to print.

It's only a horoscope, after all. What harm could changing it do?

Charting the many unforeseen ripple effects of Justine's astrological meddling - both for herself and others - Star-Crossed is the funny, super-smart feel-good listen of the year!

Loving the book, not the narrator...

Currently pushing through this one, enjoying the story but find the performance exhausting and almost frustrating. Narrator is too busy perfecting her whispy ‘I’m better than everyone else’ tone. Occasional hints in a down to earth tone give glimpses of what could have been. Will push through as the light and whimsical story line is just what I was after right now. Or may swap to the paperback.

Melissa George's narration was terrible

I gave it a 2 Stars because Melissa's narration was whispered the WHOLE time. I couldn't get far through the book because I couldn't understand a word she was saying so didn't know what was going on in the story. Whoever produced the book narration aught to be ashamed of themselves.

The worst narrator I have ever heard.

The absolute worst narrator I have ever heard. I am completely addicted to audiobooks but this is a huge struggle. Can't get over the narrators absolutely shocking interpretation and it's ruining the book for me. Sorry, Minnie Darke, it's probably an okay book but it's going to be a DNF for me because I can't live with the gratingly whispy voice for another 11 hours.

A Modern Austen

I couldn't recommend this book highly enough. It is a lovely, gentle read, that treats it's characters with warmth and humour - much like an Austen.
