Publisher's Summary

Colonel Joe Bishop made a promise and he's going to keep it; taking the captured alien starship Flying Dutchman back out.

He doesn't agree when the UN decides to send almost 70 elite Special Operations troops, hotshot pilots, and scientists with him; the mission is a fool's errand he doesn't expect to ever return from. At least, this time, the Earth is safe, right?

Not so much.

not as good as the first book

a decent story but a little repetitive, formulaic at times. having skippy be annoyed that he didn't think of an idea got old after the first time. by the end it was grating.

I actually enjoyed this better than the first book

Love it! Skippy sure is an A-Hole though ;) just the right balance of adventure, suspense and humor.

more laughs with Skippy

This second story was actually better than the first, it got going a lot sooner .
There were a lot of hilarious wisecracks from Skippy the Alien AI - this character, alone , would make a great storyline.
I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

It just gets better!

If you could sum up SpecOps in three words, what would they be?

Trust the Awesome!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have 2.
1. Skippy, because, well he is Skippy.
2. Joe, he is so easy to relate to and is the perfect hero because he ISN'T perfect.

Have you listened to any of R.C. Bray’s other performances? How does this one compare?

ALL of R.C's works are fantastic, there is never a bad one!!

Funny and thought provoking

There has been a lot of thought put into writing this series. Funny and clever but still remember logistical issues and reality

Snarky with a bit for everyone

Great character interaction, comedy, action and voice acting. More slowly paced than its predecessor, but with intriguing discoveries woven into the downtime. A great listen overall
