I was a little hesitant to listen to this because of the reviews about the accent, but the storyline completely distracts you from it! It's full of twists and turns.. I couldn't get enough!

Her research is amazing, it was thought provoking, entertaining and fascinating. I have all her books and cant wait for the next. A truly talented writer. Highly recommended.

I was deeply moved by Ruby's story, a woman who embodied courage, loyalty, and principle, refusing to let anything stand in her way.

The vivid depiction of Hurricane Katrina's devastation in New Orleans was heart-wrenching, highlighting the immense suffering of its people.

What made the experience of listening to Southern Ruby the most enjoyable?

I listen to White Gardenia and absolutely loved it, a friend lent me the CDs. I thought I try another book by Alexander and so far am disappointed because the narration grates on me. When Lee speaks in the Australian accent she sounds like a bogan. Sorry, but that's how it is for me.
