So disappointed!

If the author had focused more on character building and less on pushing sex, this could have been a good book. Situations the characters were in and their behavior didn’t fit into the time period. It was very obvious as I got further into the book, that the author was just focused on sex.

Very poorly written! Very hard to listen to. Not uplifting or enjoyable at all. I tried to finish the book, but just couldn’t.

Great Story, narrator more of a reader

I really enjoyed the story. Lots of action and surprises. I had in both audio and Kindle. I found the narrator was good, but she more read the story. There was not much variation in different characters' voices. The book is told from multiple POVs, so the lack of distinctive voices had me pausing the audio and going to my Kindle. So the audio on this one was more for convenience to multitask.

Enjoyed this very much!

I enjoyed the story very much and Miss Rachael Beresford's narration. If The only thing that made me wonder was the inclusion of the heroine and other female characters with the work of the war office (historically, that is) but ... this did nothing to detract from my enjoyment. In fact, I'd say it's been one of my favorite historical romance reads (er, listens) in a while. I look forward to delving into more of her series!
