Eigentlich wollte Nelly das geerbte Haus ihrer verstorbenen Großmutter verkaufen. Doch als sie ihren Freund mit einer anderen Frau erwischt, beschließt sie, Deutschland endgültig den Rücken zu kehren. Tief verletzt aber dennoch wild entschlossen macht Nelly sich auf den Weg auf die Aran Islands. Das Schicksal hat jedoch ganz eigensinnige Pläne mit der jungen Frau.
