Die junge Flugzeugmechanikerin Fenja aus Frankfurt betreut vorübergehend das gemütliche Bed & Breakfast Hotel ihrer Tante in der Provence. Doch auch rund um den beschaulichen Ort "Le Barroux" geht es manchmal alles andere als idyllisch zu. Während Fenja auf dem weißen Maultier Marguerite durch die grünen Hügel am Fuß der Felsen der "Dentelles de Montmirail" streift, trifft sie auf den netten Tim und den undurchsichtigen Mathieu. Und dann verschwinden über Nacht die Bilder einer Ausstellung aus einem alten Schloss. Fenja, von Natur aus neugierig, betrachtet ihre Umgebung nun mit anderen Augen und beschließt, der Sache auf den Grund zu gehen.
