Sotto le luci miserabili e iperboliche di Hollywood, Arturo Bandini sogna il successo di scrittore mentre con la mano sinistra scrive pessime sceneggiature che non vedranno mai la luce. Potrebbe essere la premessa di una tragedia, ma come sempre, in bocca a Bandini, tutte le tragedie finiscono in commedia.
