A book for the old trying to be trendy

This book tries to hard to tell us it is "hip" and "gets us" anyone with a smart phone knows what he is telling us anyway. Don't waste your credits. Just go to YouTube trending page and you'll understand more about 2019s marketing direction than this book.

Should be “...for absolute beginners...”

This book is ONLY for people that have just heard about social media.

It covers the totally basic fundamentals:

I feel ripped off! Could have spent my $14 on “How to find Facebook on Google” and received better value.

Social Media Basics ... “This is this...this is that”

Good for someone who needs to understand the importance of social media and it’s broad capabilities. If you have experience beyond a novice, then this book is not for you.

On a side note- this is the first Audible book I’ve listened to that starts with a long disclaimer from the author... essentially saying he takes no responsibility for the information provided or it’s effectiveness. It set a bad tone from the beginning.

Great book!

Great book! I needed it for my Marketing and Social Networking college class for my Social Media Marketing Certificate. I think it would be even better if it was catered to all levels of social media users and if there were post examples included in the text. Thanks!

worst smm book ever

quite possibly the worst book ever written on social media. there was not one "secret" marketing tactic In this fluff piece. would have been better titled "if you have no idea what Facebook, twitter or Instagram are start here. I want my money back.

Title is completely misleading.

This book isn’t about growing a “personal brand”, or becoming an “influencer”. It’s a basic how-to guide for small businesses—who sell products—to make better use of social media.

Again, NOT “personal brand”. NOT “how to be an influencer”. Just stuff like “this is how you get people interested in your products”, and “here’s what you need to know about working with influencers”.

It might be a fine book for someone trying to grow a small business on social media, but the title is an absolute lie.

Not a must read

This is a good book of you know absolutely nothing about social media. If you are even a little bit knowledgeable about social media you might want to skip this one. A lot of time is dedicated to how to make a profile, how to make a status, etc

Great Information overall

Not really a step by step process but more of an overall view on Social Media Marketing. I wish there was more of a breakdown of how to get more involved in Social Media. However, it did provide a great overview of each platform and it gave examples on what each platform could possibly provide for your business and/or branding.

This book is awesome! This is my first e-commerce business and I am starting to learn the Social Media Marketing from this book. Even though I am still going through the book, I am finding out everyday that this is the book I needed to better understand the Social Media Marketing I need. It really helped me have a better understanding

It really helped me have a better understanding of how to use social media in ways that I didnt know before in order to help my business grown and attract new costumers. the book gives great examples and is very clear of how to apply things. they give different kinds of social media examples so one doesn't have to only focus on one which is great.

Fine but not great

If you’re clueless about how to set up and use social media then I’m sure it would be helpful. If you’ve already got a basic understanding you won’t learn much I’m afraid

It covers the main social platforms of today.
There are a lot of noted resources for support inside the book. Its not 2019 yet but I'm getting benefits listening to the book.

Easy to understand

I am a graduate student and learning about Marketing.Just the kind of read I needed right now since I am trying to start a non-profit business of my own.
