Story
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

Very fun read and adventure
AF Steadman creates a wondrous world full of great characters that you care about immediately. She weaves their lives together with ease, adding some meat eating, farting and dangerous unicorns, a mystery needing to be solved, secrets shared, magic that seems new and enough tropes to make the story feel like a familiar warm blanket. The story is both new and old, and makes for a great read. Highly recommended.

Engaging and unique
Loved it! While as an adult and a teacher, I did correctly predict some key moments, I still found the story engaging and the interpretation of unicorns to be unique! I can’t wait to read more!
