If God is holy, then he can’t sin. If God can’t sin, then he can’t sin against you. If he can’t sin against you, shouldn’t that make him the most trustworthy being there is? Best-selling author Jackie Hill Perry, in her much anticipated follow-up to Gay Girl, Good God, helps us find the reason we don’t trust God - we misunderstand his holiness. In Holier Than Thou, Jackie walks us through Scripture, shaking the dust off of “holy” as we’ve come to know it and revealing it for what it really is: good news.

In the revised edition of his hit book The Sacred Search, author Gary Thomas helps single people of all ages make wise marital choices, in large part by rethinking what basis those choices should be made on. Listeners are encouraged to think beyond finding their “soul mate", an idea that has its roots in the philosophy of Plato, and instead adopt a more biblical search for a “sole mate” - someone who will walk with them on their spiritual journey.

Publisher's Summary
What if searching for “the one” is getting in the way of your journey of self-discovery? What if singlehood wasn’t just a stepping stone to marriage?
As a single 20-something in search of answers to these questions, author and entrepreneur Esther Marie leans into self-discovery and finds a life of boundless adventure. Living in the tension of uncertainty about the future, Esther chronicles eight years of her life, including awkward dating stories, solo travels, deconstructed beliefs, refueled faith, a near-death encounter with a bear, and way too many camping trips.
In the end, she makes peace with the mystery of unanswerable questions and finds herself in a story far bigger than she could have ever imagined.
Thought-provoking, hilarious, and relatable, Single Shouldn’t Suck offers a different perspective on singleness than your pastor who met his wife in high school. Esther invites you on a journey to liberating contentment by encouraging you to indulge in the life in front of you and let go of trying to control your story’s ending.
You don’t need to wait for “the one” to start pursuing your purpose. You don’t need to waste your Friday nights feeling alone. Throw tradition to the wind, ditch the cheesy clichés, and start loving the life in front of you, because being single shouldn’t suck!

Amazing
I felt like I just became a bungalow babe with Esther and her friends, like I have lived through her single years with her. It has been so encouraging, entertaining and refreshing to hear Esther read-aloud her story. I didn’t want it to end! I wish I could adventure with Esther and hear more of her wonderful stories about thriving in her singleness and being free to simply be. I highly recommend that anyone who is currently single read or listen to this book. It will uplift your spirit and change your perspective in more ways than one. Thank you Esther for being the bold and beautiful vessel for God that you are.
