Publisher's Summary
On a Tuesday in May, in her 35th year, Rachel shot her husband dead. He stumbled backward with an odd look of confirmation on his face, as if some part of him had always known she'd do it.
Rachel's husband adores her. When she hit rock bottom, he was there with her every step of the way as she slowly regained her confidence, and her sanity. But his mysterious behaviour forces her to probe for the truth about her beloved husband.
How can she feel certain that she ever knew him?
And was she right to ever trust him?
Bringing together Dennis Lehane's trademark insightful and empathetic characterisation, razor-sharp dialogue, stunning atmosphere and breakneck twists and turns, Since We Fell is a true masterpiece that will keep you in suspense until the very end.

YAWN!
This book didn't even start to get interesting for the first 5 hours! It then got more absurd as it went along. The narrator was annoying too and over dramatised. All in all one of the worst books I have listened to for a long time!

What a disappointment
Would you try another book written by Dennis Lehane or narrated by Katherine Fenton?
i do not believe Dennis Lebane had anything to do with this book.
What could Dennis Lehane have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
He could have written it instead of hiring a Mills and Boon ghost writer.
Would you be willing to try another one of Katherine Fenton’s performances?
No
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I love all his other novels and waited expectantly for this one to be released and then total disappointment.
Any additional comments?
What's' going on Dennis?!

Well written, but very disappointing story line
Struggled to finish, only did as it was a book club read. The one thing that kept me going was it was well written and easy to listen to. Otherwise, too much going on, too many storylines and too many loose unnecessary ends. Main protagonist is totally unbelievable and you don't develop any connection with her.

Terrible
Would not recommend this. I only persisted as this is a book club read. Nothing positive to say.

Skip this one
Found this boring and disjointed. Sometimes I felt I'd missed whole chapters, but hadn't. Really struggled to finish the book. Perservered and didn't understand what the take home message was.

Gave up
I have never given up on a book before but when the main character said, 'Check your privilege!!' to another character with the overdramatic way the reader had, I had to stop wasting my time. It was from child, to shut in, to spy, to ...... then I gave up as it was so unbelievable.
I don't suggest anybody bothers with this one. Sorry.

Enjoyed every bit of this except the end!
Any additional comments?
Terrific book. Loved the twists and turns. Really enjoyed his development of the main character. And her husband - what a sneeky man! Couldn't figure out how it was going to end and I don't think the author really did either. Overall though, totally worth a read.

Good Start, but, then...
Started well, great character development, kept my attention.
Really good plot teist/development then CLUNK a hammy, Hollywood, bit of hocus which wasted all that good work.
Almost as if the editor told DL to dum this thing down for a wider audience.
A shame.
Well read, mostly well written, but the last chunk of the book left me totally cold.

Very uneven
Lehane struggles to find a time and the pacing and plot are all over the place. He's tries to shape too many disparate stories into something cohesive and that pays off in the end ( which doesn't succeed imo) I think he struggled to figure out what he was really writing about and the result was uneven and featured too many inconsequential characters and story arcs to be rewarding for me I think this could have been a much more straightforward mystery/thriller, without retreading too much of what he has covered before, but instead was overlong and quite frustrating at times.. Definitely far from his best.
