Publisher's Summary

In today’s environment, there are many questions about "religion". Of those who are asking these questions, some turn to books on theology. There are many excellent theology books available today, written by some of the brightest scholars today. It is not my intention to displace any of them but to make theology accessible to the average listener.

Simple Theology: Theology for the Rest of Us is written for the non-theologian. Though there are many great theologies available, most are written by theologians for theologians. The goal of this book is simply to give the listener a basic bird’s eye view of theology that will encourage him or her to dig deeper. After listening to this book, I suggest picking up The Moody Handbook of Theology, by Paul Enns, or Basic Theology, by Charles Ryrie. Simple Theology is a sort of primer, if you will, to prepare the listener for these other more complete volumes.
