Twists and turns of Wonderous "who done it".

great twists and turns of a "who done it" storyline and great ways of bringing in new parts about the main character.

Simply superb

The worst thing about this book is I can't read it for the first time again. Storyline is so compelling - from the first chapter to the little connections made to previous books. Everything was superb. I do wish there was more about learning to be a wundersmith, and oddly I found the changed accent of holliday wu a little off putting initially. But definitely as good as Hollowpox - if not better! Now to go back and listen again

Another great installment

My one criticism is that the pacing was a little uneven. I think there could have been some tightening in the middle of the book. However I think this is a wonderful series and it was brilliant to return to the world Jessica has so clearly lovingly created.

Worth the wait

Loved this book, it was as perfect as the last 3 books in the series. The only criticism is that Holliday Wu was read with a different accent in this book than in the other 3 books which is disappointing as I loved the NZ accent in the previous books.

Fun and engaging read with fantastic characters!

I have enjoyed every book in this series immensely and this most recent installment was just as fantastic. The story is fun and kept me interested from the start! The characters are warm and lovable with so many hilarious and intriguing personalities.

I recommend this book to all ages, young and old! It is like Harry Potter crossed with the character of Enid Blyton stories. I can’t wait for the next book!!

These stories are wonderful (no pun intended)

An outstanding fourth book in the Nevermoor series. Characters and story lines are some of the best of this genre. Keep them coming please Ms Townsend!

This is the best book series ever. Yes, ever. And, I do mean better than the series that must not be named.

This book series is just magnificent.

Gemma Whelan does a wonderful reading, although I do miss Holiday Wu's old accent.

The characters in these books are so brilliantly drawn and so deliciously imperfect and full of spirit. Without being political or "woke", the line-up up of characters appears effortlessly broad and inclusive and accepting in the way children are before they're stupidly taught about categories of people.

Thank you Jessica Townsend. I can't wait for the next instalment!

Connections and family

Not the action packed novel we are used too. Morigan is growing up and her connection to family is the core of this book.
The focus is about choices, you can choose you friends, and you can choose how you interact with your family. Your choices have consequences and that you own them s important.
We see Morigan grow.
There is weak links in how she receives her next mark and her interactions with Squall. Which is a pity as these have been pivotal in previous books.
Let's hope the next is another riping yarn with awesome links.
