Silver

Very well written and a great story line. Angela Dawe was great in her narration of this book.

Too much, too soon and really confusing

30 minutes in and I almost stopped listening. I don’t know if I started off with a book at the end of a series where all the charters had already been mapped out but it that was not my mistake then this didn’t take the time to map out the playing field. After the initial overload it did get easier to follow but if they said “Silver F**king Merchant” it would have to take the world record for the amount of repeated words in a book. At the heart of it a love story but if they cut back on all the ribbons and bows they would have a lot more cut through.

Not the best

My least favorite in this series. The Valentin character was just weird. The narration made him seem like a brainless neanderthal and I agree with other reviewers on the Silver "Fucking" Mercant expression. So annoying.

Brilliant

Control. Precision. Family. These are the principles that drive Silver Mercant. At a time when the fledgling Trinity Accord seeks to unite a divided world, with Silver playing a crucial role as director of a worldwide emergency response network, wildness and chaos are the last things she needs in her life. But that’s exactly what Valentin Nikolaev, alpha of the StoneWater Bears, brings with him. Valentin has never met a more fascinating woman. Though Silver is ruled by Silence—her mind clear of all emotion—Valentin senses a whisper of fire around her. That’s what keeps him climbing apartment buildings to be near her. But when a shadow assassin almost succeeds in poisoning Silver, the stakes become deadly serious…and Silver finds herself in the heart of a powerful bear clan. Her would-be assassin has no idea what their poison has unleashed… This book kept me hooked until the very end, I was hanging on the edge of my seat hoping beyond all hope that Silver will choose Valentin and there will be a happy ever after. I highly recommend this book and the series looks as though it will be every bit as good as the Psy-Changeling series it follows.

Starlight Bear Love

Wonderful.. A story filled with intense situations, and love. Angela Dawe was easy to listen to and filled the role of silent excellently. I loved the dry humour and wit. Made me chuckle. I now want a changeling Bear for my own.

Great storyline but....

The overly repetitive use of the term ‘silver f’ing mercant’ gets reeeaaaalllly annoying! Seriously Nalini you made your point about 16 silver f’ing mercants ago, for the love of god please stop! But, having said that, it is yet another great story in the psy series that as usual had me laughing out loud in places.

It was ok

I sort of enjoy this author’s series, but it does sometimes feel like a bit of a slog to get through it (partly the narrator I think) and it doesn’t grab me by the heart or make me drop into the world as I listen. Nice enough story. Compared to the other books in the psy-changeling universe it’s probably somewhere in the middle. I like the concept of the series so I wish I connected with it more.

I am obsessed with this series.

re-reading the Trinity portion before I step into Wolf Rain. I have to say I love this more the second time I read it. It's been a hot minute since I've been in this world. But it welcomed me back with a warm bear hug. This is the start of "season 2" of this world. And I loved this story from start to almost finish. The last chapter worried me a lot. Because I love that character so much.

One of her best

This book is a delight in audio. I loved the book but got so much more sense of the characters from the narration. Destined I think to be one of my favourite audio books.
