This trilogy was well thought and written. The story is coherent but the author does not really explain the basis of this fantasy world. I was left with a few 'why' and the end.

I listened to the sample on audible and thought this would be good but I was very surprised by the excessive amount of extremely descriptive gay soft porn and incest violence in the first 2 books

I really enjoyed this series. The story was clever with lots of action and deep character connections. The narrator was fantastic and I really enjoyed his story telling, it made it so much better. It may not be to some people's liking though, as its very violent and has explicit and descriptive male sex scenes.
