Great narrative, great narration and great characters. Good humour and the dog just draws it all together.

i will give this series time as it was certainly shaping up okay for most of this book. But then it degenerated into almost-slapstick nonsense at the end. i would've preferred some fidelity to a police procedural where justice prevails through good solid investigation. i'm so over the trope of the obstructive/unsupportive boss who makes it difficult for the true investigators to do their work.

Believable characters (both likeable and unlikeable) and convincing consistent world. Engaged and engaging reader. I look forward to listening to more by this author and narrator.
