Publisher's Summary
Maggie is a 17-year-old girl who's had a bad year. She was smart and on track, but her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.
Then she meets Caleb. She saves his life and instantly knows there's something about him that's intriguing, but she's supposed to be on her way to a date with his cousin. Things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally.
They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she's ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive. Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, but Caleb's enemies know that Caleb is imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities.
Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

so surgery you will get cavities
Would you try another book from Shelly Crane and/or Cris Dukehart?
Doubtful. I had to give up on this book almost ninety percent through it. I couldn't take the surgery sweetness any longer. This book is for 13 year old girls who want to believe that the perfect man exists. That a soul mate is out there that will perfectly match your soul. I do believe in soul mates having been married to one for 37 years but non of them are perfect and match you perfectly.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
It is one and the same. The rival clan was willing to kidnap Maggie and in several cases take actions that would have or should have killed her and probably would have raped her and they are beat up a little and let go. It was ridiculous and unbelievable. The author would have lost me on this point if she hadn't already.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Cris Dukehart?
Yes the narrator was very good. It is one reason I listened as long as I did.
Did Significance inspire you to do anything?
Stop reading similar books.
Any additional comments?
Young adult should not mean the story should have a total lack of realism. If Caleb was so tuned in and in love with Maggie he would not have acted as he did. No matter how tuned you are and in love having the person in your head all the time would be invasive. Everyone has thoughts that the other person should not and does not want to know. I can accept the significant premise but not the execution of it by the author.

Not overly exciting..
I like the idea of the story about people with powers and the imprinting and remaining in contact etc.. quite interesting.. But I find that there was too much love-making.. I don't mean sex.. there's no sex involved but the lovey-dovey stuff was quite draggy but still tolerable.. But what really put me off was the overuse of the word "sweetly".. initially, it was fine.. then it started appearing more and more until every time I hear it, I wanted to strangle myself or pull out my hair.. But I made myself listen through the book as like I said, I like the idea and the plot was interesting.. and the way the narrator pronounced "sweetly" made me even more annoyed.. The narrator's voice was nice and I'm sure she did a great job.. but cos she said "sweetly" like in a sickly sweet way.. I blame the author for that because, if the word hadn't been so overused, it would have sounded fine.. Ending of the book was weird to me as well.. it just ended like that.. No cliff hanger and not much of a conclusion.. I recommend this book for people who are crazy about romance novels and don't mind draggy love scenes.. but if u are like me(my mind glazed over almost every time during the love-making), then I don't recommend it..

Couldn't finish...just bad.
I could not finish this book. The narrator is annoying. The characters have no depth. They have no true character development. The love between Maggie and Caleb is so unbelievable and it irritates me. Her absolute belief of the whole imprinting without any doubt just irritated me. And not to mention the author continues tell us about what imprinting is for the majority of the book. I stopped reading after chapter 18. I felt I could use my time better.

Too sweet for me, it could have been good
I listened to about 60% and then couldnt stand the sticky sweet draw between maggie and caleb anymore. i could not finish the book
There were good and inventive fantasy parts, but there was not enough background story of the aces. where came they from? what is their purpous etc
and every 5 minutes the same repetetive love confessions between caleb and maggie, they had to actually talk about their love all the time, because one could not feel it, no chemistry at all
some intentional similarities to twilight but not the magic of twilight
i am disappointed, all these high ratings at amazon com, where come they from?

One of my favorites!
I have read/listened to this book so many times I've lost track! Yes, it is super sweetly romantic with a side of some supernatural and action, but that's the part that I love. The narrator does a really good job distinguishing the characters, even though they're not what I heard in my head I like it well enough.

LOVED the book - Even better on Audio!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely! Anyone who likes to listen to books at work - it's a very SFW read.
What other book might you compare Significance to and why?
It's a young adult supernatural romance without sparkly vampires or werewolves.
Which character – as performed by Cris Dukehart – was your favorite?
Absolutely Maggie - her voice was exactly what you'd expect from reading the book, soft, sweet...
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Maggie is kidnapped and all the Ace's are searching for her - you really get the emotions when Caleb finally gets to her.
Any additional comments?
Grab this up! It's a great book and the audiobook is fantastic!

Fantastic series
Would you consider the audio edition of Significance to be better than the print version?
Definitely better then the printed version, to be able to hear their story come alive audibly is an wondefull experience, not all audible books can pull it off but this is definitly one that can.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Significance?
Most memorable moment has to be when they first touch and imprint, his reaction to finding his significant is, for me swoon worthy and makes your heartbeat faster,
What does Cris Dukehart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The way Chris pulls you into the book as she reads makes you feel like you are there experiencing the story, she adds such depth and emotion to the book, that you would miss out on in just the printed version, she's definitely up there with Stephan Fry is with the harry potter books
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely and I did....twice :)
Any additional comments?
The overall story is amazing so glad I found this book, its a beautiful love story with twists and dangers but the characters relationship is solid.....they are soul mates able to get throuh anything if they face it together.....it was lovely not to have the whole 'love triangle' and other common relationship issues that can arise in some romance novals. The characters are fantastic and you really fall in love with them all.
