One of the best Horus Heresy character or primarch novels out there. Unexpectedly deep for a space marine story. Exceedingly well written.

If i were to have one complaint about this it is that its not long enough, it perfectly tells the story of Sigismund and the ending sent chills down my back, knowing what is to come, just finished it but will probably give it one or two more listen’s.

Probably the best book to understand Astartes, the legions, the imperium. 10/10 must read (especially if you’re a Black Templar/Imperial Fists fan).
