Summary

We did this.

Our mate is broken. Trapped behind glass walls where we can't reach her, and our pack is trying to hold together the shattered pieces of what might have been in the midst of the wreckage Brett Rivers left behind.

She's coming back. We won't stop fighting.

But if we're ever going to have a chance of saving Kenny, we need to step up and be the alphas we should have been from the start.

Even if these small parts of her are all we ever get.

Book two in the All These Broken Parts duology. This completes Kenny's story.

Shattered Truths wasn’t quite as strong as the first book for me, but I absolutely had to continue because I needed to know what happened with Kennedy and this pack.

The pacing is slower here, especially in the
first half, but it leans heavily into healing, grief, rebuilding trust, and character growth. What worked best was seeing the alphas take accountability. They apologised, but more importantly, they backed it up with actions. Growth is always sexier than empty words.
I also appreciated getting more backstory for the male characters. In the first book they blurred together at times, but here they felt more distinct, and I liked seeing why each of them loves Kennedy.

Some sections felt drawn out, while other scenes I wanted expanded were rushed. The heat storyline was also awkward for me and lacked the vulnerability I was hoping for.
Rachel Leblang and Lance Greenfield were once again enjoyable to listen to. Both narrators handled the emotional beats well and kept the story engaging through the slower sections.

Not as addictive as book one, but still a solid continuation with heart, healing, and satisfying growth.

More Healing, More Heart, Less Bite Than Book One
