Publisher's Summary

When children go missing, and the humans have no leads, I'm the one they call. I am their last hope for bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot. My name is Rylee, and I am a Tracker.

O'Shea is AWOL, and tracking him is proving to be harder than I expected. Not to mention the small fact that I have the Beast of Bodmin Moor chasing me across Europe in a race against the odds, with my life as the prize.

But those things are minor compared to the secrets that finally come to light. Secrets I wish had stayed hidden in the darkness....

Action packed & entertaining

Good story - really does keep your interest .
The narrator was irritating in the first 3 books in this series , but has improved in this book.

enjoyed the story but the higher voice turn off.

I didn't realize I had not listed to the first three books in the series which I also own, which was my mistake. not only did I miss out on a great deal of the story but I was not prepared for the narrator higher pitched very young sounding voice. it made me feel as though I was listening to one of my children read it although with much clearer diction and voices for character that were identifiable and clear. if her pitch was half to a full octive lower I would have enjoyed the book greatly. she is tallented and would do wonders in book for say children that respond well her type of voice and would go crazy for the voices she can do. even books where the main character is no older than sixteen her voice would be an asset, however the 14 year old mage in the book was not the main character Rylee is. the voice should better resemble a person that sounds older than 12-16.

Great series

Once I got beyond the narrator's voice, I couldn't stop the series. I plan on seeing it through before starting another series or book.

This series is seriously awesome!

There is one sentence from Shadowed Threads that I think sums up the entire book perfectly. “Stolen moments of love, laughter and life fitting in the tight spots between the death, pain and loss.” And one word that covers Rylee’s ragtag group as a whole…pack. They are stronger together than they are apart and this was another marathon escapade for them all! Loved it!

Yes

The narrator took some time to get used to, but here in book four I am well used to her. She adds to the story rather than detracts. The story is definitely better than the first book. It is easier to accept and enjoy the universe. I like the characters, and am looking forward to following them. All in all, good job Shannon Mayer!

No spoilers

Ms Mayer's books are a must read/listen to. So full of action, suspense, laughs and so much more. I know the author states this can be read/listen to as a standalone but don't each book ties together in world and characters building book's start where the last leaves off. But I promise you won't be sorry. Mayer is a true master at story tell, world building and character development. The narration was ok Calvin has either gotten better or I've gotten used to her either way I will be listening to the next book in the series. Can't wait to find out what Mayer has stored for Rylee and her misfit family.what a brilliant mind she has.

More challenges, sorrows, but together

Once again Emma Galvin does an amazing job narrating Shannon Mayer book 4. The menagerie clan of misfit creatures follow Rylee around the globe to save lives and help her fight for their lives, while discovering more about herself and hopefully along the way find out about her missing sister.

Fantastic series

I'm hooked on this series, this book continues Rylees journey, should she follow her heart or her head. Can the wolf be found? The characters continue to grow and the listener is drawn in with twists and turns. Highly recommended

Not just a tracker

Well I have got use to the narration, not my favourite narrator as explained in my last reviews she always sounds urgent, however I am liking the books and the characters. Rylee meets more and more characters that she welcomes in to her pack. All of the likable, she continues to track children but this has taken a back seat to vampire politics. We also finally find out what happened to be sister. Now on book 4 this has definitely been my favourite so far.
