I loved this book when it first came out and now to get to listen to it again..superb. Absolutely adored Stephan and how fiercely protective of his women. This is one story I will be listening to again and again it's just that good. Jim has once more brought this book to life

I know this book is a set up the tine kinda book. much like the 1st book of the ghostwalker series
so I pushed through some of the arrogant do as I say attitude.
as always with christine we get a lot of self introspection and it gets a bit repetitive...but she pulls you along just when you get ready to eye roll .
there were a couple of decisive moves that I thought didn't ring true seeing as they are riders but we do need an a antagonist and some angst.
the HEA is there and the descriptions of the family men were really well depicted.
it's brutal, sexy, steamy, secretive and love orientated.
the history and background building is tolerable as it intertwines with the courtship of the heroine.
long and a lot of introspection bur a great story

For a first book in a series I found it quite good. Interesting concept to say the least. Looking forward to the next one.
