An incredible book, great narrator, wonderful story. In spite of this I don’t think I can read another Laura Kinsale book with so much sadness and complications. I would have liked a really happy ending or a sequel perhaps. Well researched.

I found this story completely gripping. The storyline was interesting from start to finish - a very well-crafted depiction of PTSD formed one of the main themes, juxtaposed against the impact of human relationships on trauma. Very well-written with excellent narration. Highly recommended!
