this series was excellent and has deteriorated to a n uninspired list of actions. it is that boring that I didn't even make it halfway

Nothing like the adventurous swashbuckling Kydd of past novels - hardly a line covering naval life not a single well described action or description of shipboard activity. Pity as I had been looking forward to this last novel!
