The Skylark of Space

Firstly, the read is quite good, though it’s sad to say that more than one voice would raise the performance to another level. Reed reads well, but his voices (though admirably performed) become a little similar toward the end. It would be the same with any one reader I would posit.

As far as the book itself is concerned, I read it myself in the early 80’s and so have a memory of how it went. The pacing was good, though the language is definitely if it’s time, as is the dynamics.

A rollicking beginning to a Soace Opera classic series.
