The blood-soaked blade of war. For seven hundred years, the Undying High Lord Milo has been building his Confederation, leading the Horseclans slowly across the lands once known as the United States, absorbing city-states and nomadic tribes alike, some by peaceful means, some by the sword. But now his enemies have banded together into an army far larger than Milo can muster. Led by an ancient and evil intelligence, this wave of unstoppable destruction is thundering swiftly down upon the Confederation forces. And Milo has no choice but to call upon all his allies, from the smallest troop of mountain warriors to the notorious pirate ships of the Lord of the Sea Isles, in a final desperate attempt to save the Confederation from seemingly certain doom...
Grew up reading this series and love it. Ellery Truesdell alone is making me hate it. He can't read plain English words correctly. He also can't read phonetic words. Pronounces "cartuh" as cartoo, instead of cart uh. That's just one example. He makes me want to demand my money back with interest.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
the narrator could really use a dictionary. he continually mispronunciations word and that kept pulling me out of the book. he has problems with the terms for archaic weapons, armor and ships, but he also mispronounces common words. i wont buy another book narrated by this gentleman.
Love these books, own 9 of them in paperback, and they are hard to find. I would be over the moon to have them all in audible format!
