Neal managed to survive the initial weeks after an EMP decimated the grid and all critical infrastructures. Using his cunning, skills, and mindset, he navigated the harsh new landscape. Life became harder when the weeks turned to months but still he survived. As he settled into his new normal, complacency set in with it. Publisher's Summary
Surviving the attack proved to be more than they could have imagined….
Months after a super-EMP attack devastated the United States, the country is now unrecognizable. Major cities are run by gangs, survivors are dying of starvation and the government is falling victim to lawlessness. Those who were prepared for the end find that they weren't really prepared at all.
While some seek vengeance for their losses, others are determined to restore the nation. Gordon, Samantha, Sebastian, Barone, Connor and Pablo are all on different paths, but they are all in search of a home away from chaos. They are all in search of a sanctuary.

attention holder
Really enjoying this evolving story. The plot and characters and the core incidents that define the story are generally belivable. Natural disasters and Covid 19 have clearly demonstrated to the world how dependant 1st world nations are on the trappings of modern life and Government support. Chaos is literally less than a week away. Mr Hopf paints a believable picture of how modern society could devour itself under trying conditions.
