Superb!

Masterful storytelling weaves a tapestry of intrigue, suspense, and the supernatural. The character development is particularly noteworthy, With Inquisitor Ravenor taking center stage as a complex and compelling figure. Abnett's ability to craft multidimensional characters adds depth to the narrative, making it easy for readers to invest emotionally in the story.

The world-building in "Ravenor" is nothing short of spectacular. Abnett paints a vivid and atmospheric picture of the grim and foreboding 41st millennium. The intricate plots, moral dilemmas, and the gritty ambiance characteristic of Warhammer 40,000 are all present, providing a rich backdrop for the unfolding events.

One of the strengths of the writing lies in the attention to detail. The narrative is layered with nuanced descriptions that bring the universe to life, allowing readers to fully immerse themselves in the grim darkness of the future. The pacing is well-executed, balancing moments of intense action with quieter, reflective scenes, contributing to a well-rounded reading experience.

While "Ravenor" caters to fans of the Warhammer 40,000 lore, it also has the potential to engage readers who appreciate a skillfully crafted blend of science fiction, mystery, and elements of the supernatural. However, it's worth noting that the dark and complex themes inherent to Warhammer 40,000 may not appeal to everyone.

In conclusion, "Ravenor" stands as a testament to Abnett's storytelling prowess. It successfully captures the essence of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, delivering a gripping tale of suspense and intrigue that will leave readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in the Inquisition War trilogy.

Absolutely fantastic

Dan Abnett just can't seem to miss. I didn't think it'd be as good as Eisenhorn, but if anything it's better.

Pretty good story but not as good as some of his other books. He does set a high standard for himself though.
