Loved it, great book
Dan abnett is so good at making the 40k universe feel less one dimensional. The main character in this book is just a revelation compared to a lot of the by the numbers books set in the universe. Few are truly memorable and this one will still be enjoyed in 50 years time I think

Exceptional
This is an amazingly written, and perfectly narrated, story that sheds great insight in to the workings of the Wolves of Fenris.
You will love it if you like a great story.

Awesome book
Loved this book. So much lore about the wolves of Fenris. Not really much about Prospero but I'm happy that I had tried this book. :)

Awesome follow up to A Thousand Sons
Another excellent Horus Heresy Novel. Be sure to listen to A Thousand Sons before you listen to this to avoid spoilers.

Excellent story, slow burn
The story takes a while to get going (I found the first four chapters to be quite a drag and the chapters are long). The payoff in the end ended up being worth it though. if I had reviewed the book half way through I would've given it a 3 for story but I recommend sticking it out.
narration was beautiful, much better than Thousand Sons though there was much less lore revealed. Do not listen without listening to Thousand Sons first.

A rough start
I found it really hard to get into this story at the start. It was hard to settle into it and understand the setting. But once I got there it was good stuff.

One of my favourites so far!
Dan Abnett is an absolute genius. I Loved every minute of this book! Don’t expect it to jump straight into Prospero actually burning, but the stuff before that is totally worth it!
