Brilliant story, averagely performanced
I struggled to get through this and it's a real shame as I happily listened to all of Cameron bierlies versions of the belgariad and mallorean. For some reason, Dinas voice was shrill and was hard to listen to. Great book and I would recommend it but it was a very long time to listen to Dina

Pronunciations terrible.
The pronunciation of names is a lot to be desired. Perhaps the narrator should have listened to the previous books by Beierley to see how things sounded

Readers ruin story.
The voices are TOOAmerican for my ear, and for hat reason many of their pronunciations are off, then too is how to read a paragraph .. emphasis in the wrong place and also many on the wrong word. Please, use voices and that don’t hurt the ear and don’t try to characterise all characters. They just are not proficient to get away with that. This book is not alone in those faults perceived by me.

Love the final story
The final conclusion of the story of Belgarath and family.
The story is excellent. The narration a little disappointing, I don't think she listened to the other books in the series as her pronunciations did not match

Disrespectful narration
I have always loved this story. After listening to the 11 books narrated by Cameron Bierle, this is proving a sad conclusion. I appreciate the desire to have a female narrator but Bierle's Pol was more than suitable. Dina you had 11 previous books for source material and you clearly neglected them all. Your pronunciation of places and names is terrible and the voices you chose don't fit the characters. C'Nedra sounds like a crone, Beltira and Belkira sound like frail old women instead of burly Alorns and Beldin sounds like a gentleman. If most listeners weren't 11 books in I am sure we would all drop this disappointment.

Great Story
Wonderful story. Absolutely loved it.
The only gripe I have is, as usual, when a series changes narrators is the pronunciation of certain names and places. Would it really kill them to listen to the previous versions of it and learn them?
And also while I found Dina Pearlman’s voice clear and understandable, her husky voice sounded more like she should be narrating 50 shades of grey than an epic fantasy novel.

Mis-pronounciation let it down.
It was lovely to have a female narrators for Pol's story, however, the mis-pronounciation of names and places (and sometimes common words) really jarred. It would have been fantastic to have some commonality with the other 11 books in that respect.
Otherwise, it was lovely to listen to.

Narrators should do some research
Really disappointed with the narration. I read all of the books many times over the years and wanted to have someone read them to me :) After listening to the Belgariad, The Mallorean and Belgarath, the difference in pronunciation from those 11 books to this one was toe curling. It should be a point of pride for the narrator to be concerned with continuity and the listener and to conduct some research (i.e. listen to one of the other books) before recording.
