They slept for hundreds of years, dreaming of a new home in the Andromeda galaxy. When finally they awake, their dreams of peace are shattered. These colonists - turian, salarian, asari, human, and more - face an uncharted galaxy and threats beyond understanding.

Great reading and insight
Gives an interesting look into character motivations and how they came into the positive there in before the game starts. Worth a listen if you're a mass effect fan.

Solid story for Mass Effect lore lovers
The story was made all the more amazing by Fryda Wolff’s performance. I defy anyone not to fall in love with Fryda after you listen to her interpretation of two female krogan squaring off against each other. Pure perfection.

Great Read.
Very insightful learning about what happened before the game takes off. Would recommend for any fan of Mass Effect especially.

Liked it, Fills in a few gaps.
excellent narrator.
As someone who has played the game, I gained a new appreciation for Sloan Kelly and will definitely be paying more attention to the character in my next playthrough.

story was good. voice acting was average
as a mass effect fan it was a good book to show the backstory of the game and makes me want to come back and play it. the voice acting was good at times and lacking at others

Difficult listening
The book introduces lots of aliens with little background then goes on to describe political leanings and long held grudges.
They then perform obvious mistakes that result in "unforeseen" or pointless conflict which really a distraction to the main plot.
