Publisher's Summary

“Sam was brushing her hair when the girl in the mirror put down the hairbrush, smiled, and said, "We don't love you anymore." So began the Twitter Audio project, with a dazzling first line penned by New York Times best-selling author Neil Gaiman. What followed was an epic tale of imaginary lands, magical objects, haunting melodies, plucky sidekicks, menacing villains, and much more.

From mystical blue roses to enchanted mirrors to pesky puppets, this classic fable was born from the collective creativity of more than one hundred contributors via the social network Twitter.com in a groundbreaking literary experiment. Together, virtual strangers crafted a rollicking story of a young girl’s journey with love, forgiveness, and acceptance.

Hearts keys and Puppertry by Neil Gaiman 💜🖤💜

welcome to the strange and unusual mind of Neil Gaiman who always seams to make me laugh
but I have also been through 30 years of domestic violence.

would have listened if not for repetitiveness

I could see myself enjoying the story if the sample didn't have the use of one word 5..? 6? times within 2 minutes.
Shame I would have liked to listen and was intrigued.
But darkness was said enough in that short span of time I knew it would drive me mad before the end of the intro, let alone finishing the book.
Who checked this and how did they not notice!? And say something to the author!?

Simple and light - suitable for a young audience

Would you try another book written by Neil Gaiman and The Twitterverse or narrated by Katherine Kellgren?

Definitely - enjoyed the narration style and while the story was more suitable to a young audience it was well written and an easy listen

If you’ve listened to books by Neil Gaiman and The Twitterverse before, how does this one compare?

Average . Enjoyed other books by Neil Gaiman much better.

Which character – as performed by Katherine Kellgren – was your favourite?

The Badger

Was Hearts, Keys, and Puppetry worth the listening time?

Yes. Wasn't the best and most stimulating thing I've listened to but was pleasant enough.

Any additional comments?

Probably a good book for female Tweens
