Don't start this series if you want a resolution

I've just finished book three which ends on a cliffhanger only to learn that The Burned Man series got killed by the publisher 3/5 of the way through so will never end properly.

Cliffhanger ending

All the wasted chapters at the start of this novel come back to bite it on the arse in the end.
