Von etwa 1600 bis zum Tod Johann Sebastian Bachs im Jahre 1750 reichte die Epoche der Barockmusik. Bach, Händel und Vivaldi sind nur einige der herausragenden Komponisten, die der Autor in seiner Musikgeschichte des Barock vorstellt und deren Leben er erzählt.
