About this listen
The second thrilling audiobook in the best-selling Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer.
Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. The police have closed her case. The only person Scarlet can turn to is Wolf, a street fighter she does not trust, but they are drawn to each other.
Meanwhile, in New Beijing, Cinder will become the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive - when she breaks out of prison to stay one step ahead of vicious Queen Levana.
As Scarlet and Wolf expose one mystery, they encounter Cinder, and a new one unravels. Together they must challenge the evil queen, who will stop at nothing to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner....
This is not the fairy tale you remember. But it's one you won't forget.

I'm specifically talking about the wolf people. They are men who act like wolves, howling on all fours. Yes, the book says they have fangs, and their actions are very violent, yet the actual imagery of it would simply be hilarious.
Very "Jacob from Twilight". The relationship between Cinder & Kai, is now in its second book and actually feels less developed than in the first book, since they spend almost the entire novel apart.
Conversely the relationship between Wolf and Scarlet has the opposite problem, it feels like it was full of tension, and will they/won't they, right up until suddenly an event occurs and now they are ready to die for one another and it's a fated romance.
I won't go on, but for all my criticisms, I still think the book satisfies a craving I had for angsty, teen, melodrama. If you have no problem with Young Adult tropes, than you will enjoy this book. It's that simple.
