Publisher's Summary

Before each Christmas, the makers of the best toys of the year have always sent the toy's design blueprints to the North Pole. Santa and his elves then use these blueprints to make enough toys for all the children of the world. These blueprints have always been sent by regular mail.

This year, however, has seen a significant change at the North Pole, as Santa has just started receiving toy blueprints by email. With three days to go until Christmas Eve, he and his elves sit around the North Pole computer. They wait for the email with the blueprints of this year's hot toy, the one that nearly every child has asked for in their Christmas letters. Suddenly, the face of Arnhold V. Sommersby, a renowned computer hacker, shows up on the screen.

Sommersby has hacked into Santa's email and stolen the blueprints. He demands that Santa gives him the North Pole workshop in return for the stolen files. Unwilling to play Sommersby's game, Santa turns off the computer and decides to send his two best elves on a mission to bring back paper copies of the blueprints from the factory in California.
