story was really good but the narrators could have been better they became annoying to listen to but the story was to good not to finish the book

The male narrator ruined this for me. First, he speaks much faster than the female and so I needed to adjust the speed for each chapter. Secondly, his squeaky S sounds are migraine inducing, like nails on a chalk board. And finally, his attempts to do a ‘female’ voice for Summer are just so bad, it’s patronising and mocking. The female narrator doesn’t deepen her voice ridiculously during her chapters to indicate Anthony’s lines so why does the male narrator change his voice for Summer’s lines? How is this allowed to be published? Is there no one checking the quality of narrations??

Riveting read. Seems plausible and realistic plot. Anthony's character was intriguing and his misery at going blind completely palpable. Summers character was breezy, and thankfully not an airhead.

I'd read the book a few months ago, and really enjoyed it. The narrators didn't *quite* get there, however, with pauses where there shouldn't be, and rushed reading with too little inflection in other places.
