About this listen

I can’t have Elijah Iverson.

I can’t have him because he’s my older brother’s best friend. I can’t have him because I broke his heart five years ago; because he’s now engaged to someone else - someone kind and dependable who deserves his whiskey eyes, his soft mouth, his fierce intellect.

I can’t have Elijah because I’ve chosen God instead.

The Bell brothers, though...well, we don't exactly have the greatest track record with vows. But I’m determined to do this monk thing right - to pledge myself to a cloistered life and spend the rest of my years in chastity and prayer. But now Elijah’s here. He’s here and he’s coming with me on my European monastery road trip, and between the whispered confessions and the stolen kisses and the moments bent over an ancient altar, my vows are feeling flimsier by the day.

And vows or not, I know in my heart that it would take more than a good and holy monk to resist Elijah Iverson right now. It would take a saint.

And we all know that I’m no saint.

(This is the third full-length stand-alone in the Priest Collection, featuring Father Bell's brother, Aiden Bell. You do not have to read Priest or Sinner to read Saint.)

I have fallen in love with this story and it's link to religion, but imparticular how well written the struggle for this love was. My first MM story and it was so tastefully written. The descriptions of depression I don't think I have ever read so well or been so emotionally impacted by them.

The most captivating love story.

Story: 5/5 ⭐️
Spice: 4/5 🌶️
Narrators: JM = 5⭐️ & SC = 4⭐️

Wow… This was my first MM love story (ever) and it was SO much more than I could have expected. Firstly, it was significantly better than the first two books in this series (which were still good, just more ‘smutty’ than romantic IMO)… but this story was so different; it was actually one of the most deeply romantic ones I’ve read in a LONG time. And whilst it still had good spice like the others, there was less of it (or at least way less an*l than I expected lol) and yet surprisingly hot for a hetero girl like myself who’d always previously assumed MM books wouldn’t be “for me”.

I am so glad I read the reviews for this and decided to give ‘Saint’ a go, because I’m still a bit in shock at how incredible this book was. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much reading a love story with a HEA!

The way the MMC’s mental health struggle was described was so moving, and even though I couldn’t personally relate to some of the themes, it still managed to ‘hit home’ in an incredibly powerful way. His inner monologue was definitely relatable though, so for most of this I just wanted to give him a hug. Plus the palpable longing/angst between them EVEN WHEN THEY WERE TOGETHER was unreal.

The writing truly was magnificent… not just because of the vivid imagery and almost poetic words, but I didn’t expect there to be so many moments of humour in this as well!

I really am profoundly touched by ‘Saint’ in a way I didn’t see coming, so I know this book will stay with me for quite a while. Cannot recommend it enough

Wow… spectacular in the most unexpected ways ❤️

I don’t know where to start. Exploring all the big topics of queer love, religion, celibacy and depression. This book will have you questioning your own beliefs about all of the above. Plus the love story of these 2 characters is also something special. The history, longing and chemistry will make you believe in the ‘once in a lifetime’ kind of love story. At face value you might dismiss this book as a MM smut book but there is so much more depth.

Life changing!

this story was absolutely amazing. Beautifully written. Heartbreaking and loving all at the same time. The realistic way mental health was portrayed was fantastic and hopefully eye opening for people who do not struggle.

wow, just Epic

If you’ve been a fan of the series so far, this might be the best one yet. So beautifully written and this time we’re not in (just) Kansas anymore.

Aiden and Elijah’s love story is painful and beautiful as they reconnect in the monasteries of Belgium, France and Ireland.

While the majority of the story is from Aiden’s POV, we get a lot more insight directly from Elijah than we do from Poppy in Priest or Zenny in Sinner, which I loved! More than any of the other Bell boy pairings, I was really chasing the HEA for these two.

There are some discussions around sensitive topics so check the content warning for details.

Spice level: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️
Narration style: dual (though the majority is Jacob Morgan)
Tropes: second chance romance, forbidden romance, forced proximity

Beautiful, Spicy MM Romantic Drama
