The word sacrifice was a bit hard to swallow and wondered if there was another word for it. Apart from that I truly enjoyed this book, just to show that prejudice is alive and well no matter what colour or species you are. The good thing about it is how people react to prejudices and hate and i am so happy that our heroine is smart and not a coward, our dragon shifter hunk was a bit of an ass at first but learned to see the truth that not all humans are the same. I love their interaction and most of all the love(sex) scenes are toe curling hotness :) the narrative in itself is excellent so thanks both of you xox

I have read at least half of the books in this series so far, and I really enjoy it. I haven't picked them up in a while, so yesterday I downloaded The narration upgrade for book 1. unfortunately for me the narrator, Matthew Lloyd Davies, sounds like he should be narrating children's books to children. I felt the voice needed to be darker, a little more Bond, and a LOT less, Thomas the Tank Engine.

Listening to the book was a blast to my past. Spicy and exciting. Totally different to anything I have read before.

hmm. I'm not sure if it was the narrator or the audio set up, but the sound for this was loud and then soft then loud again. I had trouble hearing the main male character's voice for a start - it was like the narrator was whispering that character. then in the middle of sentences there would be a couple of loud (yelled) words.. it was hard to listen to.
Also, for me, it was too crass. I'm not a prude by any stretch, but everything was "I want to f*ck her" or "let's f*ck her". I guess too much "animal" and not enough "person" - i just couldn't relate to it.
the storyline was good though. Not sure if I will be reading any more in the series...
