About this listen

Now a USA Today best seller.

If your ex arrives in your hometown 18 months after you walked out on him while you were eight months pregnant, follow this short list of rules before you give him a second chance.

  • Rule 1 - Don’t stand in the way of your brothers who want to rough him up.
  • Rule 2 - Don’t meet him for coffee and agree to allow him to meet your daughter.
  • Rule 3 - Don’t drool when your daughter falls asleep on his chest for the first time. It’s just your ovaries talking.
  • Rule 4 - Don’t let him hold your hand. While we’re at it, no hugs, no kisses on the cheek...just no physical contact in general. That only leads to remembering better times.

The last one is the most important...

  • Rule 5 - When you find yourself needing someone’s help and you’re tired of always asking your family, don’t let him be the one who’s there for you.

Because all those good qualities of his will suck you right back in and you’ll have no chance of fighting your feelings, especially now that he’s ready to be a father to your daughter.

This will be an unpopular comment, but after reading, and listening to all the books I have to say I cannot stand Grandma Dori,

The rest, I really enjoy!

A good end

I’m sorry, but this story is just frustrating me. I get that jamieson was struggling with his mental health after his soccer career ended. However, he was getting blackout drunk not coming home at night and bringing home other women’s numbers? He left his pregnant partner at home while he was out gallivanting around. And expects forgiveness after a week!!?? He disappears for 18 months after Sedona walks out on him. Which she 100% had every right to do. Especially after finding that whiskey bottle with the woman’s number.
Jamieson re-enters their lives, and after a week throws a tantrum because everyone’s rubbing the past in his face? I’m sorry but a week? The story lost me there. All of a sudden, Sedona is forgiving him and saying she wants him in her life, but to start as friends and then build from there. After a week. I’m not one to hold a grudge, but the fact that he throws a tantrum after being held accountable for his actions for only a week just lost me. 100% lost me.
Grandma dory also gets worse with each story. Sorry, but not sorry.
