Tidligt om morgenen den 10. august 2008 kørte en gummiged ind i Dansk Værdihåndterings central i Brøndby. Gerningsmændene slap afsted med omkring 70 millioner kr. Røveriet var ekstremt professionelt planlagt. Røverne var bevæbnet med automatvåben og bar skudsikre veste, de havde spredt partisansøm på vejene omkring gerningsstedet og placeret 11 brændende lastbiler, som blokerede for politiet.
